The content and structure remain intact.
Why do emojis look different in the downloaded PDF?
PDF rendering engines cannot display colour emoji — the format emoji use internally (CBDT/CBLC colour tables) is incompatible with standard PDF fonts. Common emoji are automatically converted to the closest readable symbol. Any emoji without a close equivalent are quietly removed. The on-page preview always shows the original emoji correctly since browsers handle them natively.
